Like many others I have just finished reading "Tell Me A Story" and feel compelled to tell you how moved I am by many factors; your raw (and real) emotion, the playful yet respectful tone you use for Mr. Pat, and the way you "cut to the chase" and immediately convey how you feel (and felt) about all manner of situations and how quickly it reaches the reader.
My wife and I have lost 5 parents and several close friends (including my best friend who reminds me of Bernie) and your story touches a very real nerve. But your final paragraph about devastation, destruction and beauty leave me with a beautiful philosophy that will carry me onward. It should be made into a poster. What a great summation of the ultimate "story!" Thank you!
